Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors Degree and 4 years of experience in Data, voice or converged networking OR High School Diploma or GED and 8 years of experience in Data, voice or converged networking
- In-depth knowledge of various networking technologies and protocols
- Experience with Cisco ACI, Cisco SDWAN deployment, configuration, troubleshooting, and expert level in route/switch, dynamic routing
- Proven experience with large-scale network design, maintenance, and operations
- Familiarity with automation tools (Ansible, SaltStack) and scripting languages (Python, Shell)
- Experience with encapsulation protocols like EVPN/VXLAN
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with experience in leading complex projects
Responsibilities
- Provide Level 3 technical support for data or voice network systems
- Monitor and audit network performance
- Update documentation and procedures regularly
- Drive operational excellence in network performance
- Configure and install network hardware and software infrastructure, including Wireless, Route/Switch, Cisco ACI, SolarWinds, and Cisco SDWAN
- Support and implement cloud networking solutions
- Offer expertise in BGP and other dynamic routing protocols
- Plan, document, and execute regular upgrades of network devices while ensuring compliance with SLAs, security standards, and configuration protocols
- Monitor and respond to system-generated alerts to identify, analyze, resolve, or escalate issues as needed
- Collaborate with vendors, colleagues, and management to enhance service implementation and reduce costs
- Manage network asset inventory and engaged in capacity planning
- Assist with disaster recovery testing activities throughout the year
- Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours support

This role involves installing, maintaining, and supporting network systems while offering Tier 3 support for networking-related issues. The successful candidate will engage in resolving complex technical challenges, managing network components, overseeing asset inventory, and driving capacity planning. Team collaboration with vendors and internal personnel is essential for service implementation and cost reduction, ensuring operational excellence and network efficiency. Strong emphasis on continuous service provision, including on-call support for after-hours situations, is expected.
