Requirements
Must:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- 3 years of IT experience, with at least 2 years in a hands-on application security role
- Strong understanding of common application security vulnerabilities, particularly the OWASP Top 10 for Web, API, and Mobile applications
- Experience within an Agile development or DevOps/DevSecOps team is a plus
- Preferred experience includes reviewing and analyzing code for vulnerabilities and using SAST/DAST assessment tools
- Hands-on industry security certification such as eLearnSecurity, Portswigger, Offensive Security, CSSLP, AWS/Azure, or SANS is preferred
- Strong knowledge of application security mechanisms including authentication, authorization techniques, data validation, and encryption
- Technical knowledge of various types of application security vulnerabilities and experience with SAST/DAST tools
- Intermediate knowledge of a programming or scripting language such as C, C#, Python, Objective C, Java, JavaScript, or SQL
- Proven analytical and problem-solving skills, with a strong desire to assist others
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to convey threats and facilitate long-term remediation
- Highly motivated, willing to take ownership of work, and able to work independently or as part of a team
Responsibilities
- Perform code security activities, including analysis and remediation of vulnerabilities found in code
- Collaborate with key business units through our security champions program to promote and embed security best practices within development processes
- Assist in developing security requirements and integrating SAST/DAST/SCA tools into development workflows
- Stay current on security best practices and vulnerabilities

We achieve this through secure software development training, static and dynamic application scanning, software composition analysis, and secrets scanning—preventing vulnerabilities from being introduced into code.
