Principal Rust Engineer, Tech Lead (DeFi)

- Over 8 years of progressive experience in software engineering, proficient in programming languages such as RUST and Python - Proven experience as a Tech Lead or in a similar role overseeing technical direction and delivering production-level solutions from design to deployment - Commit to enhancing software quality through defining standards, conducting code and design reviews, and ensuring maintainable, modular solutions - Advocate for a testing culture by promoting Test-Driven Development (TDD), advancing test automation, and guiding thoughtful test design to boost quality and reliability - Collaborate with Product teams to translate requirements into well-defined, testable, and prioritized work for consistent delivery - Mentor and nurture engineers, sharing best practices and fostering an environment of continuous improvement - Design and implement highly optimized, low-latency software for automated trading systems and analytical platforms - Maintain and enhance the DeFi trading platform, ensuring its robustness and scalability - Work effectively with quantitative researchers and traders to deliver custom software solutions for developing trading strategies for digital assets - Provide ongoing support for trading systems and research platforms - Bachelors degree in computer science or a related field is required - Capability to develop reliable software that functions effectively in unpredictable environments - Experience in building and deploying applications using Continuous Integration pipelines and automated deployment tools like Jenkins - Strong critical thinking skills to design end-to-end solutions - Enthusiastic about learning new technologies and frameworks - Ability to work well both in an agile team and independently with a strong user focus - Excellent analytical and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously - Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail - Familiarity with AWS or other cloud platforms and containerization technologies such as Docker is advantageous - Experience with asynchronous workers and resilient messaging services is a plus - Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases is beneficial - Familiarity with L1 & L2 blockchains like Ethereum is a plus - Understanding of microservice architecture is a plus
