- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with team members across different locations is required.
- Comfort in working directly with internal customers and business stakeholders is essential.
Responsibilities
- As a Director of Software Engineering, your role will be hands-on, focusing on the development and implementation of innovative software solutions that leverage Generative AI within the financial domain.
- You will craft and refine products utilizing ever-evolving AI technology in a fast-paced environment, engaging in all stages from conceptualization through to production.
- I expect you to collaborate effectively with senior business, architecture, and engineering stakeholders, while also mentoring junior contributors to help them expand their expertise.
- This is an individual contributor position, which means you will not have direct reports or management duties; the focus is on technical development work alongside the team to maximize value in minimal time.
Description
- Our mission at Fidelity Asset Management is to create a Large Language Model (LLM)-first knowledge stack for investment professionals, including analysts and portfolio managers in equities, fixed income, high income, and direct lending. This stack is designed to process all relevant documents for analysts, such as analyst reports, earnings notes, spreadsheet models, prospectuses, loan indentures, news articles, and regulatory filings. It will also support the deployment of personalized assistants to aid principals in their comprehensive information consumption, processing, and production tasks. - Most positions at Fidelity are hybrid, requiring associates to work onsite every other week (all business days, Monday to Friday) in a Fidelity office. This does not apply to fully remote or fully onsite roles. - Please note that Fidelity’s operations are governed by the regulations of the Securities Exchange Act of 1934, the Investment Advisers Act of 1940, the Investment Company Act of 1940, ERISA, and various state laws related to securities, investment, and retirement financial activities, along with the rules of several self-regulatory organizations, including FINRA.
