Requirements
Must:
- I seek a creative problem solver with experience in both financial services and software development in Python.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Finance, or equivalent work experience is essential.
- A CFA designation or a commitment to pursue the CFA certification is required.
- Familiarity with Private Credit, Collateralized Loan Obligations (CLOs), High Yield Loans, Bonds, and Real Estate is advantageous.
Responsibilities
- I want someone who is versatile and comfortable collaborating with investment professionals while also developing innovative technical solutions in this field.
- Proficient data analysis skills are necessary, especially with large datasets, writing queries in SQL, and working with investment analytics and statistics.
- You should know how to process, manipulate, and analyze data using Python, JavaScript, and Excel VBA.
- An interest in the development process, alongside the outcomes, is important as I expect you to contribute to improving our development, testing approaches, and deployment infrastructure.
- I value team collaboration and mentoring abilities, especially towards nurturing less experienced members of the team.
Description
- Your role will involve supporting investment professionals in enhancing their efficiency while they research markets, make investment decisions, and execute trades. - I want you to automate manual processes to save time for investment professionals. - You will assist in the development of new products by providing quick technical solutions and data analysis to facilitate their launch. - Analyzing our investment and operational data while producing oversight reports for divisional leadership will be part of your responsibilities. Most roles at our company are Hybrid, which requires employees to work onsite every other week (all business days, M-F) at a Fidelity office. This policy does not apply to fully Remote or fully Onsite positions. Please be aware that our business operations are regulated by various acts and laws, including the Securities Exchange Act of 1934, the Investment Advisers Act of 1940, the Investment Company Act of 1940, and more.
