Requirements
Must:
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in a technology-related field (e.g., Engineering, Computer Science, etc.) required.
- Strong experience with object-oriented programming, with projects completed using many of the following technologies: Python, RDBMS, and AWS.
- Knowledge of cloud computing concepts (AWS) and using CI/CD tools.
- Experience in building Angular / React single-page applications (SPAs).
- 10+ years of enterprise development experience and a desire to work on a fast-paced development team.
- Ability to balance multiple tracks concurrently is a must.
- Experience in planning, designing, leading, and executing technical solutions and improvements.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills with on-call responsibilities.
Responsibilities
As part of the Advanced Strategies & Research Technology Team in Fidelity's Asset Management organization, I will focus on unlocking the potential of new technologies, techniques, and datasets. We aim to assist our Investment Professionals in generating alpha for our investment products and customers. We are looking for a skilled technical leader with strong design, teamwork, and influencing skills. This role will primarily focus on processing and generating analytics from structured and unstructured datasets, with potential for parallel processing in the cloud. I expect the ideal candidate to quickly adapt to new technologies and demonstrate a proactive attitude toward quantitative concepts and data. Participation in an on-call rotation is also required.
