Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree and 5+ years of relevant experience or
- Two years of college or database development bootcamp certificate and 7+ years of professional experience for Senior Database Developer
- Bachelors degree and 3+ years of professional work experience or
- Two years of college or database development bootcamp certificate and 5+ years of relevant experience for Database Developer
- Deep understanding of relational database design principles
- Proficient in Oracle and PostgreSQL development, including strong SQL and PL/SQL coding skills
- Familiarity with cloud data management and infrastructure
- Experience in backup and restoration of databases
- Knowledge of NoSQL databases, such as DynamoDB, is a plus
Responsibilities
- Design and implement database logic, stored procedures, functions, and triggers on cloud platforms
- Construct and manage database structures including tables, indices, partitions, and constraints
- Develop data access layers and enhance query performance for scalability
- Collaborate with application developers to ensure smooth integration between database and application layers
- Work alongside DevOps teams to establish database CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation
- Assist QA engineers in developing testing strategies for database components and setting up test data
- Plan and execute data migrations to align with business objectives
- Actively participate in agile ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
- Review team members code and provide constructive feedback
- Diagnose and resolve database issues in development and production environments, focusing on performance enhancement
