Responsibilities

- Create code to automate security frameworks into secure, functional infrastructure and deploy security tools using automation as a base. - Design and implement security assessments, whether automated or manual, for cloud workloads. - Integrate DevSecOps by automating static and dynamic API security checks utilizing CI/CD tools, enforcing governance gates during critical lifecycle phases (e.g., Design, Validate, Publish). - Collaborate with application, security, and platform teams to incorporate security into API design, development, and deployment. - Contribute to security architecture evaluations, threat modeling, and technical design discussions. - Define, set up, and enforce API gateway policies for authentication, authorization, encryption, and traffic management. - Monitor data traffic and work with security and engineering teams in incident response and remediation efforts. - Represent a technical viewpoint when selecting tools and solutions. - Demonstrate ability to foster collaboration and build relationships within a matrix management structure. - Present and summarize cybersecurity findings, risk exposure, and control effectiveness to leadership, translating complex technical data into clear insights for decision-making. - Document technical solutions and associated processes developed. - Identify and address root causes of issues, aiming to resolve broader problem categories holistically.
