Requirements
Must:
- CompTIA Security+ certification (must be maintained throughout employment)
- At least 2 years of experience in computer hardware/software support
- Minimum 1 year of relevant professional or volunteer IT experience
- Excellent customer service and communication abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 and troubleshooting hardware/software issues
- Familiarity with Air Force or DoD computer/network security regulations (preferred)
Responsibilities
- Deliver daily support for computers, servers, printers, routers, switches, telecommunications systems, and peripherals
- Serve as Information Technology Asset Manager (ITAM) - keep track of inventory and accountability of IT equipment, manage upgrades and disposals
- Act as Information Assurance Officer (IAO) - collaborate with AFNET Enterprise Service Desk on security, software, and compliance matters
- Maintain and support network connectivity (LAN, commercial internet, QoLnet)
- Protect sensitive data, conduct weekly virus scans, and ensure system security in accordance with Air Force IT regulations
- Educate users on software tools, security protocols, and IT systems
- Provide updates and support for the Nellis AFB Education & Training webpage (updates, layouts, links)
- Research, suggest, and assist in implementing future IT system enhancements

In this full-time, on-site position, you will support the 99th Force Support Squadrons Education & Training Section, playing a crucial role in managing IT operations that facilitate the Air Forces significant education and training mission.
