Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors Degree or equivalent in computer science, mathematics, or a related quantitative field
- Minimum of 5 years of systems development experience, including programming
- Proficient in one or more programming languages
- Experience with complex systems on IBM operating systems or microprocessors if in a mainframe environment
- Relevant experience in the technical design and development of major data processing projects, including IMS
- Familiarity with distributed systems if in a client/server environment
- Background in client/server technology, object-oriented development, or case tools
- Experience in the technical design and development of significant client/server projects
- 10+ years of progressive experience in enterprise technology architecture roles (preferred)
- Proven track record of leading architects or high-performing technical teams (preferred)
- Strong understanding of cross-domain integration and enterprise governance models (preferred)
Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee a team of Architects
- Foster the adoption of enterprise tools through training and communication initiatives
- Collaborate with executive leadership and VP-level stakeholders to turn strategic goals into practical technology directives
- Identify and eliminate friction points within employee technology workflows
- Conduct feasibility studies, architectural evaluations, and technology assessments to steer strategic investments
- Advocate for the use of modern architectural frameworks, including cloud-native applications
- Encourage the appropriate integration of AI in architecture and technology evaluations
- Ensure compliance with architectural governance while promoting flexibility and innovation
- Mentor and support architects to enhance enterprise influence and technical leadership skills

We manage the design and development activities for our technology group, leading our Enterprise Technology Architecture team that ensures our systems are reliable. Our architects are dedicated to empowering employees with the necessary tools, support, and capabilities. This position involves close collaboration with various leaders in Enterprise and Domain Architecture, Engineering, Information Security, and Infrastructure to ensure our technology strategies align with our business goals. We offer opportunities for professional growth within a dynamic environment, and this role is eligible for telecommuting across the United States, excluding specific regions.
