Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors Degree in Business Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field, or a Masters in the same areas with applicable experience
- Minimum of 5 years of web application development experience, or 3 years with a Masters degree
- Proficiency in .NET Technologies including ASP.NET (3.0/4.0/5.0) and ASP.NET MVC (5.0/6.1.3)
- Experience with Frontend/Web Technologies like jQuery, Bootstrap, AJAX, Angular, TypeScript, JSON, and Razor Views
- Expertise in C# as a server-side language
- Strong knowledge in SQL Server, MySQL, and Database Design principles including Indexing & Optimization
- Familiarity with Authentication/Security, particularly Windows Authentication
- Advanced skills in front-end scripting (HTML5, JavaScript, CSS3) and back-end programming languages
- Comprehensive understanding of relational database systems such as MS SQL Server, Oracle, and DB2
- Solid comprehension of UI design, cross-browser compatibility, and web standards
- Proficient in computer applications including Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, time management, and interpersonal abilities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- A related advanced degree may substitute for some experience requirements
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and deploy web applications for desktop, server, and mobile platforms
- Create user-friendly and visually appealing web interfaces with intuitive navigation
- Identify and implement decision support tools that optimize business performance
- Execute technical development tasks using standard web technologies including HTML5, JavaScript, and CSS3
- Utilize back-end programming languages to enhance application performance and security
- Develop programs for seamless information exchange between front-end and back-end systems
- Collaborate with Systems Development and Operations Research teams for integration of optimization models
- Engage with end-users and project stakeholders to assess their needs and objectives
- Conduct research and analysis on emerging technologies and tools to resolve business challenges
- Perform application testing to discover and rectify initial flaws
- Participate in design and code reviews
- Mentor junior developers and assist in their professional growth
- Handle maintenance, application loads, and troubleshooting when required
- Suggest procedure standards to ensure application integrity, security, and performance
- Adhere to all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies
