Requirements

Must:
- Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field is essential. - A Masters degree or equivalent experience is preferred. - 3-5 years of experience in cybersecurity, information security, or security engineering. - Hands-on experience with security architecture, secure system design, and implementation is crucial. - Familiarity with data protection technologies like data loss prevention, data classification, and endpoint protection is required. - Experience collaborating with managed service providers or external partners to manage secure systems is beneficial. - Knowledge of governance frameworks such as NIST CSF, CIS Controls, or ISO 27001 to align security standards with organizational risk appetite is necessary. - Participation in architecture review boards or similar governance committees is a plus. - Experience in change management processes, including security impact assessments for system changes, is advantageous. - Strong skills in technical documentation and reporting to ensure visibility and compliance are needed. - Security certifications such as CISSP or CCSP are preferred, with certifications in architecture or engineering support as a plus.

Responsibilities

- Represent Information Security in the Architecture Review Board for all projects requiring architectural oversight. - Evaluate strategic and technical initiatives for alignment with security architecture, regulatory compliance, and risk posture. - Conduct threat modeling to assess cybersecurity risks for new projects and technologies. - Apply Security by Design principles to ensure security is integrated throughout project lifecycles. - Ensure solutions comply with internal security standards, NIST CSF principles, and relevant regulatory frameworks. - Maintain current, accurate, and aligned security standards with FCEs risk appetite and industry best practices. - Execute security evaluations of internal and third-party systems, focusing on encryption, patching, APIs, and data residency. - Review configurations and security controls for AI-enabled systems and evaluate associated risks. - Provide security oversight throughout the entire lifecycle of systems, from design to retirement. - Offer guidance on the configuration and security settings for all FCE systems. - Collaborate with external vendors to ensure security requirements are met in system configurations and access policies. - Engage in joint planning sessions to support shared initiatives and maintain architectural integrity. - Participate in the change management process to evaluate security impacts of system changes. - Act as a liaison between business and security to ensure effective cybersecurity initiatives are implemented. - Ensure systems are set up for incident detection and response. - Lead the implementation of data classification rules and ensure sensitive data is accurately tagged. - Develop and maintain technical documentation for security processes and systems. - Maintain dashboards for tracking progress and overall security posture. - Support audits and readiness assessments, contributing to architecture standards and security metrics. - Advocate for a Security by Design culture and promote awareness of security best practices throughout the organization.
