Requirements

Must:
- Bachelors degree or equivalent experience with at least seven years of relevant expertise - Four years of experience within the insurance industry preferred - Proficient in .NET and JAVA, with knowledge of various data integration patterns (messaging, web services, etc.) - Strong understanding of SDLC, API integrations, and cloud platforms (Azure) - Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, results-driven, and adaptable to changing priorities while maintaining professionalism - Customer-oriented approach with robust analytical, problem-solving, and system design abilities - Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with others, demonstrating negotiation and compromise - Familiarity with insurance systems and their underlying data sources - Excellent communication abilities, both spoken and written, in technical and non-technical contexts

Responsibilities

- Lead technical direction for projects and initiatives, serving as IT Lead on proposals, designs, developments, testing, and delivery - Perform engineering tasks at various levels, including the creation of strategic documents and direct contributions to key projects - Engage in governance processes to ensure adherence to established principles, security standards, and the integrity of components - Act as the main liaison between technical teams and business units to identify and resolve complex problems - Evaluate technology trends in the financial services sector to assess potential impacts on our operations, collaborating with application and infrastructure teams to plan roadmaps for system health and technical advancement - Mentor IT staff on technology, processes, and career progression
