Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors or Masters Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Over 10 years of experience in software engineering, specifically in product engineering aimed at delivering customer value.
- A minimum of 5 years in a senior leadership role, such as Director or VP of Engineering.
- Proven track record of leading geographically diverse teams.
- Strong knowledge of distributed systems, microservices architecture, and API design principles.
- Demonstrated ability to cultivate and develop high-performing engineering teams that generate customer value bi-weekly.
- Strong strategic thought processes and problem-solving abilities, capable of making data-informed decisions.
- Extensive experience with Lean, Agile, and Continuous Delivery methodologies.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, adept at collaborating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Passionate about technology and innovation with a dedication to continual learning.
- Proficient in aligning engineering investments with customer outcomes and business metrics.
- Solid business understanding of how product engineering drives overall business success.
- Ability to excel in a fast-paced and dynamic workplace while juggling multiple projects and priorities.
- Knowledgeable on effective structure implementation and minimizing unnecessary processes.
- Experience managing a diverse work environment with emphasis on cross-functional leadership and operational excellence.
- Proven capability to create and manage initiatives enhancing workplace culture to foster a healthy, productive atmosphere.
- Experience in developing programs and policies that uplift employee morale and minimize turnover, alongside efforts in inclusion initiatives.
- Capacity to strategize and execute plans for office presence, growth, and development in line with corporate objectives.
Responsibilities
- Design and execute the strategic direction for the Sportsbook product engineering organization, ensuring alignment with the overall Sportsbook Engineering strategy.
- Collaborate with Sportsbook Core Engineering and the Sportsbook Product team to establish engineering objectives, metrics, and collaborative workflows.
- Lead, coach, and motivate a dynamic team of engineers, promoting a culture of rapid innovation and ongoing improvement.
- Attract and retain top engineering talent to cultivate a high-performing team.
- Oversee the creation and execution of innovative and efficient customer experiences.
- Implement best practices for product engineering to deliver customer value incrementally every two weeks, including CI/CD methodologies.
- Ensure high quality and optimal performance of sportsbook customer experiences, working in conjunction with Sportsbook Core Engineering teams, minimizing downtime during pivotal events.
- Assist Sportsbook Core Engineering in maintaining compliance with gaming regulations and security standards across all systems.
