Requirements

Must:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent work experience. - Over 7 years of experience in Backend software development, with expertise in TypeScript and Node.js. - Proficient in implementing Backend for Frontend (BFF) architectural patterns to enhance frontend applications. - Demonstrated technical leadership across multiple teams, influencing strategy and driving organizational results. - High standard of technical judgment, innovation, and execution to address complex, open-ended challenges. - Experienced in collaborating with Product teams to prioritize work regarding tech debt and enhancements. - Skilled in monitoring and alerting tools like Datadog or Sentry, and adhere to SLAs for backend performance. - Capable of working with cloud infrastructure and technologies, preferably AWS. - Familiar with GitOps patterns, CI/CD pipeline tools (preferably Buildkite), and proficient in Git, GitHub, Jira, Confluence, and OpenAPI. - Effective in mentoring and empowering team members. - Deep understanding of quality best practices in an SDLC, with experience in unit testing and integration testing tools. - Proven sense of ownership and responsibility for delivering technical outcomes. - Keen interest in the fast-paced, innovative, and expanding Sports Betting industry.

- Collaborate with customers, stakeholders, and peers on project ideas, balancing customer needs with team capabilities, striving to become a subject matter expert. - Lead your team in maintaining code quality and managing technical debt and improvement roadmaps. - Actively engage in code review processes, design discussions, team planning, and ticket/metric reviews to foster team growth. - Write clear, exemplary code that inspires high standards of quality among your teammates. - Champion engineering best practices that impact multiple projects over extended time frames. - Own key initiatives by practicing self-management, delegating tasks, and collaborating with your engineering manager to enhance delivery. - Investigate and resolve root causes of issues, addressing bottlenecks and influencing software decisions across teams as needed. - Navigate differing viewpoints constructively to build consensus among team members. - Promote professional dialogue and seek resolutions effectively. - Stay informed about market standards and open-source frameworks to bring innovative ideas to the table. - Provide outstanding customer support as part of an on-call rotation when necessary. - Maintain humility and a continuous thirst for knowledge while consistently challenging conventional norms.
