Requirements

Must:
- Degree in Computer Science, related field, or equivalent work experience. - Over 3 years of professional experience in an engineering role. - Proficient in developing services using a modern object-oriented programming language. - Strong understanding of data structures and algorithms. - Demonstrated experience and enthusiasm for creating distributed, highly scalable, and available backend systems. - Familiarity with CI/CD pipeline tooling. - Experience with cloud-based infrastructures and technologies. - Skilled in designing and interacting with relational databases. - Preferable experience with streaming technologies such as Kafka. - Ability to document code, research, and designs clearly. - Proficient in translating requirements into design and application development. - Understanding of containers (e.g., Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes). - Experienced in unit testing, testing tools, and quality best practices integrated into the software development lifecycle (SDLC). - Background in working within an Agile environment.

Responsibilities

- Engage with stakeholders and peers to develop project ideas. - Take ownership of product components and become a subject matter expert. - Write clean, simple, and easily extendable code adhering to standards and practices, ensuring thorough testing of your code. - Balance customer needs with team objectives. - Foster team growth by actively participating in code reviews, design discussions, team planning, and metric assessments. - Classify, store, and manage data in line with company policies. - Identify and address security risks in a timely manner. - Advocate for operational excellence by identifying issues and suggesting solutions. - Work on projects to enhance software and team processes. - Diagnose and resolve intricate problems, improving software maintainability. - Participate in on-call rotations as necessary, providing excellent customer support. - Stay updated on industry standards and open-source frameworks. - Exhibit creative problem-solving skills. - Demonstrate a passion for continuous learning and improvement. - Be humble, pragmatic, self-directing, and driven to acquire knowledge, always striving for excellence.
