Requirements

Must:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in data science, analytics, or engineering preferred - Bachelors Degree in a quantitative field (Math, Stats, Economics, etc.) or relevant experience in data science preferred - Strong analytical and quantitative abilities, with high proficiency in Python and SQL (or another coding language) - Experience in creating and managing models for marketing mix and channel attribution - Familiarity with Databricks or similar cloud-based data science platforms; bonus points for experience optimizing compute based on model requirements - Proficiency with Git, familiar with concepts like branches, commits, and pull requests - Knowledge of both online and offline marketing data - Experience utilizing simulations for scenario analysis and recommendations - Proven ability to present model results to business users and implement recommendations - Familiarity with sports and/or experience in a regulated industry is a plus - Strong verbal and written communication skills, with a track record of influencing marketing strategy through insights

Responsibilities

- Develop and oversee marketing mix models to assess campaign effectiveness across all products - Create predictive models to enhance customer acquisition and retention strategies through generosity, prospecting, and competitive intelligence, facilitating strategic marketing and growth initiatives - Build and refine predictive models, demonstrating feature and model selection capabilities; develop, iterate, and implement advanced machine learning models - Identify suitable tools, systems, and models to address large data challenges and enhance efficiency in data management; determine the optimal approach given resources - Design tools and models that deliver actionable insights on marketing campaigns - Troubleshoot and resolve coding and modeling issues presented by team members - Collaborate with agencies, vendors, and in-house data engineers to source and manage all necessary data elements for marketing mix modeling and channel attribution - Partner with decision-makers across the organization to understand their objectives, identify opportunities for data use, and enhance business outcomes - Confidently present findings to senior leadership with impact
