Software engineer - Java and Python

- Design and implement functional networks including LAN, VLAN, and WAN - Plan and lead projects for network installation and upgrades - Oversee all network data transport operations (Layer 3 and below) and manage overall network traffic routing - Manage and allocate IP address space, and track permanent assignments - Develop and execute network security measures (such as access authentication and STIG implementation) - Design, configure, deploy, and maintain firewalls - Monitor syslog events and make necessary adjustments to enhance security - Collaborate with systems administrators, cyber security officers, and CNDSP - Assist cyber security officers with data collection and reporting during RMF A&A processes - Conduct regular network performance assessments - Resolve escalated network support issues and maintain documentation of solutions - Research and assess new networking technologies and recommend upgrades to improve network performance - Serve as the primary point of contact for network and operating system issue resolution - Create standardized operating system images - Manage the installation, configuration, maintenance, and migration of computer and network operating systems in on-premises, hybrid, and cloud environments - Implement and oversee solutions related to systems, networks, and host-based security infrastructure to ensure compliance with regulations, policies, and procedures - Provide advanced technical support and troubleshooting for local and remote system users
