Requirements
Must:
- High School diploma or GED; supplemented by additional technical training in a relevant field.
- 1-2 years of desktop and specialized support experience.
- CompTIA A+ and Network+ certifications preferred.
- A current and valid driver’s license with automobile insurance and a clean driving record. Motor Vehicle Records (MVRs) are randomly checked.
- Must possess reliable transportation to travel between sites to provide client support.
- Capability to work efficiently both at client locations and remotely from the office environment.
Responsibilities
- As the first point of contact for users, I focus on initial troubleshooting and incident logging.
- My primary goal is to promptly resolve common and straightforward issues or gather adequate information for escalation.
- I provide various technical support tasks including:
- Guiding users in password recovery and account unlocking.
- Offering basic assistance with software installation, uninstallation, and routine updates.
- Troubleshooting common printer connectivity issues and paper jams.
- Conducting basic checks for Wi-Fi or wired network connection problems.
- Assisting with peripheral device issues including mice, keyboards, and monitors.
- Escalating complex problems to the next level when necessary.
- I accurately log incidents, manage tickets by prioritizing and understanding escalation procedures, and effectively utilize the knowledge base to find solutions.
- I am proficient in using remote desktop software to view user screens, navigate ticketing systems, and assist with common Microsoft Office Suite issues.
Description
- I actively participate in various IT projects as assigned and take on additional responsibilities as requested. - Essential physical and mental functions include the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, push/pull objects with moderate effort frequently, and sit or stand for up to 8 hours per day. - I possess strong analytical and troubleshooting skills and can communicate effectively with customers, both verbally and in writing. - The role requires good visual acuity for close object discrimination, color perception, and depth perception, as well as the ability to comprehend and follow directions. - Please note that this job description is not exhaustive; other tasks and responsibilities may be assigned as necessary. - Job Type: Full-time - Pay: $22.53 - $26.50 per hour - Expected Hours: 40 per week - Benefits: - 401(k) - Dental insurance - Health insurance - Paid time off - Vision insurance - Work Location: In-person, preferred in Colorado Springs, CO 80907. Relocation is expected before starting work.
