Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors Degree in Engineering or an equivalent technical qualification
- Preferred: National Board and state certifications
- Mandatory: Meet National Board In-Service commission qualification requirements (RCI-1 NB-263)
- Pass the National Board Exam and fulfill State requirements
- Experience in boiler and pressure vessel construction and inspection
- Familiarity with mechanical and electrical equipment and non-destructive testing methods
- Strong technical expertise in the boiler and pressure vessel inspection field
- Excellent communication and active listening abilities
- Effective time management and organizational skills
- Problem-solving capabilities
- Proficient in basic computer applications
- Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a team
Technologies
Responsibilities
- Carry out jurisdictional inspections of boilers and pressure vessels in the greater Boston area
- Obtain essential FM procedural and field training to ensure competence
- Conduct inspections following ASME guidelines, National Board regulations, and jurisdictional laws
- Evaluate and discuss findings with Clients
- Supervised by the Operations Chief Inspector
- Perform inspections at varied locations to mitigate hazards
- Travel approximately 30% of the time
