Requirements
Must:
- 5+ years of experience in technical support, particularly with installations and field operations
- Demonstrated hands-on expertise with VMware and/or Hyper-V virtualization environments
- Proficiency in network management including switches, VLANs, routers, firewalls, and DHCP/DNS
- Experience with Windows Server and Active Directory environments
- Familiarity with IT security tools and protocols, including MFA, endpoint protection, and firewalls
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a capability to work autonomously
- History of traveling for on-site technical implementations
Responsibilities
- Address technical support inquiries received via Help Desk tickets, phone, email, or in-person
- Oversee the installation, configuration, and support of technology infrastructure at both new and existing locations, including servers, POS systems, switches, firewalls, and Wi-Fi equipment
- Deploy, support, and maintain virtualized environments (Hyper-V, VMware)
- Manage Windows Server services including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy
- Handle networking infrastructure aspects, including LAN/WAN setups, VLANs, firewalls, and wireless access points
- Monitor system alerts and performance using centralized monitoring tools
- Diagnose and resolve network connectivity issues, system failures, or performance problems
- Implement IT security measures, assist in endpoint protection, and address vulnerabilities
- Provide support for Google Workspace (G Suite) and internal systems
- Collaborate with vendors, third-party service providers, and internal teams during deployments and escalations
- Develop, maintain, and refine technical documentation and process guides, including setup procedures and support checklists
- Identify opportunities to optimize and standardize procedures for recurring implementations and support tasks
- Keep accurate records of installations, configurations, and resolutions to ensure consistency across locations
- Travel up to 25% for on-site deployments, system upgrades, and hands-on support across various states
