Requirements
Must:
- Hands-on experience with Teradata infrastructure, focusing on:
- Data Mover
- Query Grid
- Viewpoint
- BCM (Backup & Control Management)
- Strong familiarity with UNIX (SLES – SUSE Linux Enterprise Server)
- Proven track record in an infrastructure support capacity dealing with enterprise database systems
- AI/automation experience is a significant plus
- Experience with certificate management and vulnerability management is preferred
- Exposure to Data Domain and Object Store environments is beneficial
- Knowledge of Ansible and EPLX is advantageous
Responsibilities
- Provide support for Teradata specialty software at an infrastructure level, including execution of Data Mover, Query Grid, Viewpoint, and BCM
- Carry out platform operations, troubleshooting, optimization, and configuration tasks within the Teradata ecosystem
- Enhance and maintain the stability and performance of the Teradata environment beyond the database layer
- Execute engineering tasks that are low to moderately complex, analyze technical challenges, assess options, and document findings
- Engage in process improvements within the Database Engineering team and assist in developing operational support models
- Collaborate with colleagues, engineering teams, and stakeholders to address issues, perform software upgrades, apply patches, and meet platform requirements
- Uphold strong compliance with enterprise policies, security standards, and change management processes
- Deliver engineering support information to clients and internal teams as necessary
