Requirements
Must:
- 10 years of experience in technical program management in financial services or regulated environments
- 5 years of experience leading core banking conversions or substantial platform migrations
- Extensive experience managing vendor and system integrator partnerships for large-scale technology initiatives
- In-depth knowledge of mainframe systems and modern core platforms (e.g., FIS, Fiserv, Corelation)
- Proven track record of aligning IT delivery with business goals in complex, multi-stakeholder settings
- Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities
- Familiarity with API integration, data governance concepts, and digital banking ecosystems (preferred)
- Understanding of FFIEC, SOX, NACHA, and similar regulatory standards (preferred)
- Relevant certifications such as PMP, PgMP, SAFe, or ITIL (preferred)
Responsibilities
- Lead the IT program delivery, including roadmap development, governance, budget oversight, and executive reporting
- Act as a liaison between business units and technology teams to ensure IT solutions facilitate improved workflows and business outcomes
- Manage relationships with vendors and system integrators, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and alignment with program objectives
- Develop risk management protocols, audit controls, and regulatory compliance frameworks for technology components
- Ensure the implementation of the core platform aligns with business needs for deposits, loans, teller systems, and digital banking
- Oversee integration architecture, ensuring interoperability among existing and future systems
- Coordinate IT dependencies related to CRM systems, loan origination systems, payment processing, and digital channels
- Partner with business leaders responsible for workflow reengineering, customer experience, and operational readiness
- Translate business requirements into technical specifications and oversee execution by IT teams
- Support change management and training initiatives by offering insights into technology and readiness updates
- Supervise IT preparedness for mock conversions, parallel runs, and cutover weekend, ensuring infrastructure and support models are established
- Coordinate command center operations during technology go-live phases
Description
We are looking for a Technical Program Manager (TPM) to guide our IT delivery program through a transformative core banking conversion from legacy mainframe systems to modern core platforms like FIS and Fiserv. This pivotal initiative will not only impact our teller systems and deposit platforms but also enhance our analytics capabilities. While the TPM will not directly perform data conversion tasks, they will ensure technology delivery aligns with our business objectives. This role will serve as a representative of the bank, operating between the System Integrator, core vendor, and our internal IT teams while collaborating closely with business leaders overseeing workflows and outcomes.
