Requirements
Must:
- B.S. in Computer Science or preferred M.S. in Computer Science
- Minimum of 6 years of software development experience or equivalent (e.g., 4 years of Ph.D. research in Computer Science)
- At least 5 years of experience with Object-Oriented Design, C++, and Qt Programming on Linux platforms
- Strong background in designing and implementing advanced graphics techniques and extensive knowledge of graphics hardware, including OpenGL shader language, CUDA, Nvidia GPU programming, and OpenGL 2D/3D texture mapping
- Proficient in CPU/GPU performance profiling and characterization as well as other stream programming methods
- In-depth understanding of computational geometry algorithms
- Experienced in developing multithreaded real-time applications
- Demonstrated analytical and mathematical proficiency
- Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities
- Familiarity with the full product lifecycle in software development
- Proven experience in creating and managing requirements and translating them into effective architectures and software designs
- Understanding of, and experience with, medical device development processes
- Exceptional documentation skills suitable for a highly regulated environment
- Preferred experience in GUI development, specifically with Qt/QML
Responsibilities
- Utilize robust software design skills to engineer medical devices that fulfill specific performance benchmarks and product development quality criteria
- Engage in the development of requirements specifications, software design, implementation, and testing of both software and embedded software algorithms, including general Linux applications and GUIs
- Develop algorithms for real-time 3D location tracking, 3D anatomical model creation, and intracardiac signal visualization
- Actively participate in various project phases, including defining software functional requirements, implementation, conducting code reviews, and preparing final releases in accordance with medical device development standards
- Craft and execute software/test plans and protocols, generating test documentation to assure compliance with specifications and quality system requirements
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including design reviews with QA, RA, test engineers, and hardware engineers, to guarantee firmware aligns with product requirements related to safety, reliability, and serviceability
- Foster creativity and innovation throughout the product development process
- Make well-informed technical recommendations and decisions in product design based on extensive investigation and testing
- Document and convey developed solutions to the manufacturing team for mass production and offer technical support during the launch phase
