Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Industrial Engineering or a related field; advanced degree is preferred.
- Over 5 years of experience in manufacturing engineering; experience in medical devices is a plus.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management abilities.
- Proven leadership skills in team environments.
- Six Sigma or Lean certification is preferred.
- Ability to operate effectively in a highly matrixed and geographically diverse workplace.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills suitable for various organizational levels.
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional multitasking and attention to detail.
Responsibilities
- Engage in the identification and planning of departmental objectives and budget allocations while supporting initiatives to enhance quality, cost, and delivery performance.
- Facilitate efforts to boost productivity, quality, process efficiency, space utilization, standardization, and lead time improvements alongside Value Stream teams.
- Contribute to Lean, Six Sigma, and DMAIC problem-solving initiatives.
- Propel the adoption of Lean tools including 5S, time studies, line balancing, standard work, material flow, and value stream mapping.
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and provide input on departmental budgeting processes as needed.
- May oversee and guide the work of engineers and technicians.
- Promote compliance with company initiatives and ensure adherence to QMS, EMS, FDA regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Maintain effective communication with employees, customers, contractors, and vendors.
- Undertake other related tasks and responsibilities as required.
Description
We are excited to welcome a Senior Continuous Improvement Engineer to our team, working 100% onsite in Plymouth, MN, for one of our esteemed Fortune 500 clients. This role offers a competitive pay range of $45/hr to $49/hr for a duration of 12 months, with a standard shift from 08:30 am to 05:30 pm. Our ideal candidate will play a crucial role in driving operational excellence by collaborating with cross-functional Value Stream teams to enhance manufacturing performance.
