Must:
We are looking for candidates with a minimum of 2 years of experience in areas such as Wireless LAN Networks, Cisco systems, and the application of QoS to support Voice and Video. You should be familiar with network monitoring and management applications, IP address management, routing management, subnet assignment, and VLAN management. Experience with WAN technologies and wireless technologies is essential. Additionally, familiarity with EIGRP, BGP, and other routing protocols is required. Experience with scripting for automation or API access, as well as managing IP DNS, DHCP, and NTP systems, will be an advantage.
Responsibilities
As an IT Network Operations Engineer, I expect you to provide operational support for our corporate network, which includes wired and wireless voice, data, and video infrastructure. You will be required to provide on-call support, respond appropriately to alarms, alerts, and notifications from our management system, and determine the needs of each site, including bandwidth and network requirements. You will integrate existing network designs into our enterprise network, optimize the performance of equipment and LAN/WAN connectivity, and support the retirement and replacement of outdated equipment. Collaborating with global network teams to incorporate company standards and best practices is crucial. You will manage and maintain our existing environment while documenting processes and procedures, acting as an L1/L2 escalation point for corporate network teams, and suggesting improvements to our supported services.
