Must:
We require a candidate with at least 8 years of experience in platform administration or DevOps roles. Strong hands-on experience with Databricks and/or Snowflake is essential, along with expertise in Terraform for infrastructure management. You should also have experience in cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, or GCP. Proven experience in a production support and on-call environment is necessary, as well as excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. We value strong communication and collaboration abilities, along with experience in leading technical teams or serving in a senior-level capacity.
Responsibilities
In this role, you will administer and manage Databricks and/or Snowflake platforms in a production environment. You will monitor system performance and troubleshoot incidents in a production on-call setting. Collaboration with cross-functional teams to optimize and maintain platform reliability will be key to your success. You will implement infrastructure as code (IaC) using Terraform for automated deployments, and develop and maintain documentation for operational procedures and troubleshooting. Additionally, you will participate in on-call rotations and respond to critical platform issues, providing technical leadership and mentorship to junior team members.
Description
We are seeking a Lead Platform Administrator with extensive experience in Databricks and/or Snowflake to work in a highly elevated environment. This is a critical role, as we have experienced an abrupt departure and are in need of immediate support. Your strong DevOps expertise, particularly with Terraform, is crucial in ensuring platform stability, availability, and performance. This position is remote, aligned with EST hours, and is offered on a contract basis.
