Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field
- A minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience with enterprise requirements management tools in regulated settings (e.g., Codebeamer, DOORS, Jama, or similar platforms)
- Proficiency in migrating requirements from legacy tools
- Strong understanding of medical device development and design control processes
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for training and support
- Ability to work effectively within a collaborative team
- Experience as a tool administrator or advanced user in regulated environments is preferred
- Familiarity with FDA regulations and compliant workflows for medical device development is a plus
- Experience with software-connected or mobile medical devices is beneficial
Responsibilities
- Plan and coordinate the migration of requirements and related data from legacy systems (such as DOORS, Jama, Excel, Jira) to new platforms, ensuring data accuracy, traceability, and compliance
- Administer and configure enterprise requirements management tools, including the establishment of hierarchies, templates, workflows, versioning, and baselining aligned with quality standards
- Develop and oversee a requirements management strategy in partnership with cross-functional teams, outlining the requirements structure and connections to design control documents
- Create and uphold standardized requirements templates, traceability frameworks, and governance processes to meet quality and regulatory standards
- Maintain the requirements database, and develop necessary scripts or automation to enhance usability and operational efficiency
- Provide training, documentation, and continual support to engineering teams, acting as the primary expert for requirements tools and best practices
Description
We are seeking a talented ALM / Requirements Tools Engineer to join our team for one of our Fortune 500 clients, located in Pleasanton, CA. This is a 12-month onsite position offering a competitive pay range of $65 to $70 per hour. In this role, you will enable and support the requirements management infrastructure for medical device product development programs. Collaborating with cross-functional engineering teams, you will establish scalable structures and best practices that enhance the efficiency of requirement creation and management.
