Requirements
Must:

- Minimum of 8 years of experience in infrastructure automation, configuration management, or container orchestration.
- Bachelors or Master’s degree in a related technical field or equivalent professional experience.
- Strong programming skills in one or more languages: Java, Go, Python, or Ruby.
- Experience with cloud computing, specifically Amazon Web Services (AWS), and containerization using Docker and Kubernetes/EKS.

Responsibilities
- Design and implement core platform components by evolving our Kubernetes-based environment, focusing on multi-tenancy, network policy, resource management, and service mesh integration (e.g., Istio, Linkerd).
- Lead the technical design to scale our control plane and data plane for a 10x increase in services and traffic, defining and implementing SLOs for the platform.
- Improve the developer control plane by designing and building the next generation of CI/CD pipelines and GitOps workflows.
- Author and maintain production-grade Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and/or Crossplane to automate cluster provisioning and node lifecycle.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship, guiding senior engineers, leading architecture review sessions, and drafting RFCs for significant technical decisions.
- Serve as the final escalation point for complex production incidents that involve the underlying platform and collaborate with product management and engineering leads.
