Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors or Masters degree in a technical field or equivalent relevant experience
- 12 years of software development experience with a Bachelors degree, or 10 years with a Masters degree
- Proficient in backend technologies (Java, Kotlin, GraphQL / RESTful APIs) and experience creating scalable systems on cloud infrastructure (preferably AWS) using CI/CD tools
- Strong understanding of software design principles, algorithms, and data structures, combined with excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and collaboration skills
- Experience establishing standards for operational excellence and code quality across multiple projects
- Hands-on experience with unit, integration, and end-to-end testing tools such as JUnit, Mockito, Jest, or Cypress
Responsibilities
- Lead the comprehensive delivery of enterprise applications (design, development, deployment) to resolve intricate business challenges
- Break down large problems into manageable tasks, providing estimates, and ensuring actionable steps
- Design scalable, modular solutions and select suitable technologies; create both high-level and detailed design documents
- Tackle architectural and technical obstacles to facilitate informed decisions within the team
- Maintain, monitor, and optimize systems to enhance observability, reliability, performance, and operational excellence
- Champion and apply engineering best practices (unit testing, resilience, scalability, code quality)
- Mentor and guide peers and junior developers, fostering their professional growth
- Collaborate with business and technology leaders to align technical decisions with business objectives
- Participate in communities of practice; document designs, solutions, and best practices
- Communicate project updates and milestones to leadership, ensuring that thorough documentation is maintained
