Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent education and experience
- 2-5 years of relevant experience with programming technologies, or 6-9 years of a combination of education and experience
- Strong software development abilities with a capability to work under tight deadlines
- Proven teamwork skills and self-motivation in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities, especially in conveying technical information to non-technical audiences
- Knowledge of Operating Systems such as Windows, Solaris, or Linux
- Familiarity with 1-2 programming languages/frameworks (e.g., Python, JAVA, C++, .Net, C#, SQL, Unix scripting)
- Understanding of relational databases and basic design techniques, as well as the ability to write simple SQL queries
- Ability to write code to consume and create APIs based on provided designs
- Competence in troubleshooting basic issues and investigating logs, with some assistance for complex problems
- Experience in Agile software development and test-driven development strategies
- Familiarity with automated testing methodologies, including unit and UI testing
- Capability to handle complex development tasks with guidance
- Proficiency in documentation practices
- Consistent application of development best practices
- Ability to build relationships with members outside the core team
Responsibilities
- Analyze, enhance, design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain both new and existing solutions to meet specified business requirements, adhering to IT development standards
- Engage with business and IT stakeholders to deliver practical, efficient, and cost-effective solutions, including drafting product specifications and design documentation
- Collaborate with different project teams or IT partners to ensure smooth solution delivery and reduce technology risks
- Maintain active communication with the development team lead regarding progress, status, and issues related to assigned tasks
- Increase knowledge and compliance with preferred technologies, methodologies, standards, and policies, while participating in peer code reviews and problem-solving activities
- Participate in IT architecture reviews and assist in preparing documents and presentations to explain technology recommendations
