Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in electrical engineering, computer science, or a related field
- 4-7 years of relevant experience in telecommunications, electrical, or computer engineering, or a combination of education and experience equivalent to 6-9 years
- Insight into how work contributes to the overall organizational success
- Understanding of data security elements including user IDs, data sets, and access management
- Proficiency in reporting and basic database knowledge
- Ability to motivate and inspire team members to achieve high performance
- Experience in managing and executing consulting, training, software, and hardware contracts
- Knowledge of Engineering, Standards, and Procedures applicable in practical situations
- Solid grasp of standard monitoring tools and techniques
- Expertise in real-time network design, deployment, and maintenance
- Familiarity with TCP/IP network fundamentals
- Ability to influence and engage customers effectively
- Light experience in dependency management
- Valid drivers license and access to a vehicle for site visits
Responsibilities
- Provide advanced technical and engineering support for IT solutions related to Cyber, Fiber Optics, Firewall, Real-Time Networks, SmartGrid, SONET/DWDM Transport, and Wireless Communication technologies
- Foster strong client relationships while collaborating with utility businesses on various telecommunications projects and ongoing technology maintenance
- Work alongside IT Architecture and Engineering teams to plan and implement new technologies that align with approved standards
- Analyze IT trends and issues, producing actionable insights based on data trends
- Ensure the implementation of data protection measures as outlined by senior staff
- Prepare cost estimates and budgets for telecommunications projects
- Adhere to established procedures and best practices within the work environment
- Make sure assignments are completed on time, adhering to SLAs, and take the lead on projects as required
