Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in electrical engineering, computer science, or a related field
- 4-7 years of relevant experience in telecommunications, electrical, or computer engineering
- Strong understanding of communication technologies
- Insight into the impact of work on business outcomes
- Basic knowledge of data security, including user IDs and access management
- Competence in preparing reports and data analysis
- Proven ability to motivate and guide teams
- Experience managing consulting and training contracts
- Knowledge of engineering standards and procedures
- Solid grasp of standard monitoring tools for network management
- Mastery of real-time network design and maintenance
- Proficient problem-solving skills
- Familiarity with TCP/IP networks
- Ability to influence stakeholders effectively
- Light experience with dependency management
- Valid drivers license and access to a vehicle for site visits
Responsibilities
- Provide advanced technical and engineering support for IT solutions related to cybersecurity, fiber optics, firewall, real-time networks, SmartGrid, and wireless communication technologies
- Cultivate strong relationships with utility business partners for telecommunications project implementation and technology maintenance
- Collaborate with IT architecture and engineering teams to introduce new technologies and ensure optimal resource allocation
- Analyze IT trends and issues, implementing action items based on findings
- Execute data protection requirements for business functions using established procedures
- Develop cost estimates and budget plans for telecommunications projects
- Adhere to best practices and standard operating procedures within the work area
- Complete assignments punctually while adhering to service level agreements (SLAs) and leading project efforts to ensure success
