Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or Computer Networking with 4 - 7 years of experience in IT infrastructure design, application design, or cloud computing
- 6-9 years of relevant experience in disaster recovery
- Proven experience in system administration and design documentation
- Hands-on operational experience in a Hybrid Cloud environment
- Strong understanding of business principles across all IT disciplines
- Capability to resolve complex problems effectively
- Proficient in communicating critical information clearly to diverse audiences, including senior leadership
- Ability to guide team members in making strategic decisions
- Proactive in understanding business partner requests and shaping responsive strategies
- Skilled in influencing stakeholders at various organizational levels
- Experience in delivering work according to project management standards
- Ability to perform financial impact assessments and identify cost optimization opportunities
- Advanced skills in monitoring tools and troubleshooting
- Expertise in configuring monitoring settings for optimal performance
- Proficiency in developing documentation and conducting presentations about cloud technologies
- Understanding of current security requirements and trends
- Proficient in scripting and automation tools like PowerShell or Ansible
- Ability to create and modify scripts for various IT tasks independently
Responsibilities
- Lead discussions with business partners and vendors to collect necessary information
- Consult with leadership, IT architecture, and project teams to define system requirements and conduct feasibility analyses
- Develop and share system specifications, architecture diagrams, and implementation plans
- Provide efficient, practical solutions to meet business needs, including hands-on troubleshooting and optimization
- Collaborate with team members to devise future plans, resource requirements, and migration strategies
- Create and present materials to Engineering and Architecture Review Boards as well as business partners
- Design and support custom system integrations tailored to client needs
- Stay up-to-date with emerging IT technologies and recommend solutions to business challenges
- Identify and document potential risks and issues, ensuring they are managed appropriately
- Ensure compliance with preferred technologies, methodologies, and policies among team members
- Maintain technical expertise and business knowledge relevant to your function
- Lead and mentor junior engineers and oversee peer code reviews
