Senior Systems Engineer - Mid Atlantic

- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or Computer Networking - 4 to 7 years of experience in IT infrastructure design, application design, cloud computing, disaster recovery, or 6 to 9 years of relevant experience - Experience in system administration - Proven ability to design and document processes and procedures - Experience leading operational hand-offs - Familiarity with IP/MPLS Technologies, particularly MPLS architecture and QoS mechanisms - Advanced degrees or specialized training in network technologies (e.g., Nokia Certified Network Routing Specialist, CCNA, CCNP) are a plus - Strong problem-solving capabilities - Skilled at conveying sensitive, mission-critical information to diverse audiences - Ability to guide team members in decision-making aligned with strategic objectives - Proactive in understanding business partner requests and creating strategies to address their needs - Experience driving innovative processes and improvements using emerging technologies - Proven connection to project management principles and frameworks - Capable of conducting financial impact analyses - Proficiency in monitoring tools and making informed decisions on monitoring settings - Ability to develop white papers and deliver presentations on cloud technologies - Knowledge of current security standards and future industry trends - Proficient in scripting and automation using tools like PowerShell and Ansible, with the ability to create and troubleshoot scripts
