Requirements

Must:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science or a related field, along with 5-8 years of relevant experience in programming technologies, or 9-12 years of a blend of education and work experience. - Proven ability to lead small to medium teams in delivering software solutions. - Strong software development skills and the capacity to work under tight deadlines. - Excellent teamwork abilities with self-drive to succeed in a rapidly evolving landscape. - Outstanding communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information in simple terms, both in writing and verbally. - In-depth knowledge of Operating Systems like Windows or Linux, or strong familiarity with cloud platforms like Azure or AWS. - Solid understanding of advanced programming concepts, data structures, and algorithms. - Mastery of 2-3 programming languages/frameworks, with familiarity with functional programming. - Advanced knowledge in database management, including views, stored procedures, and custom indexing. - Comprehensive understanding of API design and development. - Proficient in troubleshooting and collaborating independently with cross-functional team members. - Capable of defining and implementing best practices within their area of expertise. - Experienced in Agile development practices and familiar with tools such as JIRA and GitHub. - Knowledge of cloud technologies, containers like Docker, and streaming data tools such as Kafka. - Subject Matter Expert in a particular critical area relevant to the role.

Responsibilities

- Engage with business partners to collect information, assess requirements, and deliver practical and efficient solutions that meet business needs. - Lead the engineering team and oversee junior engineers; stay updated on the latest technologies and trends. - Design, review, and develop complex code to ensure solutions align with both functional and technical specifications. - Capture and address all risks and issues impacting the project according to established processes. - Enhance understanding of and adherence to preferred technologies, methodologies, and standards while maintaining technical knowledge relevant to the discipline. - Provide IT teams and business personnel with technology solutions by evaluating technological trends and market product availability. - Participate in the review of IT architecture and standards, while assisting in the creation of documentation and presentations to advocate for recommended technologies.
