Must:
As a candidate, you should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, along with typically 5 or more years of solid, diverse experience in Operational Technology (OT) or Industrial Control Systems (ICS), or an equivalent combination of education and work experience. We expect at least 3 years of demonstrated experience within the energy sector and a minimum of 5 years of relevant security engineering experience. You should have: - Knowledge of disaster recovery and continuity of operations plans. - Familiarity with Risk Management Framework (RMF) requirements. - Understanding of incident response and handling methodologies. - Insights into network security architecture concepts including topology, protocols, and components. - Proficiency in authentication, authorization, and access control methods. - Awareness of cryptography and key management concepts. - Knowledge of embedded systems and database systems. - Understanding of system fault tolerance methodologies. - Familiarity with ICS supply chain security and risk management policies. - Comprehensive knowledge of cybersecurity principles and relevant organizational requirements. - Proven ability to design architectures and frameworks and apply cybersecurity methods like firewalls and encryption. - The ability to assess network architectures for vulnerabilities and propose appropriate security countermeasures. - Strong analytical, problem-solving, and consulting skills, alongside excellent communication abilities to interact effectively with all levels of management.

Responsibilities

In this role, I will lead our efforts in supporting the implementation of the Operational Technology (OT) Security Governance program and proactively manage cyber security risks. I will act as a liaison to OT teams, Security Architects, and other Cybersecurity and Information Security teams, effectively communicating and guiding the design of OT security engineering specifications. I will provide analytical and technical security recommendations to fellow team members, technical teams, and business partners, while also developing specific OT cyber security countermeasures and risk mitigation strategies for systems and applications. I will work closely with R&D and innovation teams to ensure the secure integration of OT systems into production and assist with incident response, vulnerability mitigation planning, and security event monitoring activities. Additionally, I will conduct engagement sessions and provide OT cyber security training to personnel.

This position is primarily hybrid, requiring in-office attendance at least three days a week in Baltimore, MD, Newark, DE, Owings Mills, MD, or Kennett Square, PA. Unfortunately, relocation assistance is not available for this role. As a Senior Operational Technology Systems Security Engineer (OTSSE), I will collaborate primarily with business OT teams and facilitate effective security requirements and configurations implementation. My role will involve supporting OT Security Governance efforts, conducting security assessments, and liaising with various teams to enhance security solutions. I will help develop documentation that supports the ongoing operations and maintenance of OT security systems and take part in industry-related OT cyber security forums. I recognize the importance of fostering diverse perspectives and innovative ideas within our team, and I’m dedicated to elevating the voices within our community. The compensation for this position ranges from $102,400 to $140,800 per year, along with eligibility for an annual bonus based on performance.
