Requirements
Must:
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or Licensed Professional Engineer
- Minimum of 7 years of professional engineering experience with thorough knowledge of the field
- Strong ability to analyze and interpret complex electrical and mechanical systems
- Familiarity with engineering design principles and applicable standards, codes, and methods
- Proven problem-solving ability using engineering theory
- Experience with leadership roles or significant responsibilities in technical projects
- Advanced technical degree, MBA, or Project Management Certification is a plus
- Licensed Professional Engineer is preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Capability to understand and evaluate industry trends for improvements
Responsibilities
- Lead the Advisor Committee, keeping discussions on track and transforming insights into actionable tasks
- Identify operational challenges and document technology options for leadership consideration
- Develop and communicate scopes of work, project recommendations, and business cases for new technologies
- Provide engineering support for projects such as V2G, DERMS, and Smart Inverter applications
- Assess and summarize emerging technologies with practical evaluations to inform decision-making
- Collaborate with grant and university partnerships to enhance project scope and reduce internal costs
- Confirm business value in patent matters and work with legal for innovation protection
- Execute engineering tasks requiring specialized expertise and maintain cutting-edge credentials
- Oversee and guide multi-discipline teams, including contractors, for project implementation
- Recommend performance improvement plans to management based on evaluations
- Mentor and train peers, offering expert guidance and insights
- Participate in technical societies to stay updated on industry advancements
