Requirements
Must:
- Extensive experience with Infoblox, specifically in DNS, DHCP, and IPAM
- Proven success in managing DNS and DHCP migrations or Infoblox transitions
- Strong familiarity with the Nutanix hypervisor and infrastructure
- Comprehensive knowledge of networking basics, including TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP
- Proficiency in scripting for automation purposes, particularly with PowerShell or Python
- Solid foundation in Systems Engineering, including Windows Server environments and device provisioning
- Strong focus on execution and ability to adhere to tight deadlines
- Adaptability to shift from high-energy implementation tasks to ongoing system maintenance
- Effective communication skills for providing updates to stakeholders during critical phases
Responsibilities
- Lead the transition of DNS and DHCP services to the Infoblox platform, ensuring a smooth changeover with minimal disruption
- Set up and manage IP Address Management (IPAM) capabilities within the Infoblox system
- Offer engineering and maintenance assistance for the Nutanix hypervisor and infrastructure
- Create scripts to automate DNS updates and enhance network management processes
- Enter a post-migration phase by providing consistent high-level support and maintenance for newly integrated systems
- Keep precise technical documentation of migration procedures, configurations, and standard operating protocols
Description
We are looking for a Systems Engineer with a specialization in Infoblox and Nutanix for an essential 3-month project, located onsite in the Greater Atlanta Area for 2-3 days per week. This role involves leading the organization-wide transition to Infoblox, focusing on the seamless cutover of DNS and DHCP services, as well as implementing IP Address Management. Post-migration, we expect the selected individual to provide ongoing support for our Nutanix hyperconverged infrastructure. This position is perfect for a contractor or consultant who thrives in high-impact migration initiatives and possesses a solid technical grasp of core network services.
