Information Security Analyst - Cybersecurity Focus

- Develop, execute, and monitor security strategies and measures to protect network and information security, both locally and in the cloud - Create and enforce security policies and standards to safeguard the organizations data and assets - Analyze and report on security events through SIEM and EDR tools - Maintain records of security incidents investigated and responses conducted - Provide Tier III support as part of the agencys security team - Assess the security of systems, networks, and applications for vulnerabilities and risks - Mentor fellow information security team members in security methodologies, strategies, and tools - Address security threats and breaches, aiming to mitigate impacts and prevent recurrence - Support incident response, threat analysis, and digital forensic investigations - Collaborate with other IT teams to meet agency security targets - Generate risk analysis documents based on system functional specifications and workflows - Produce security reports utilizing complex SQL queries, API integrations, and Power BI - Utilize blue team tools like SCAP workbench for vulnerability scanning and hardening - Exercise knowledge of red team tools such as nmap, Wireshark, Metasploit, and password cracking techniques
