Requirements
Must:
- Over 7 years of experience with Electronic Medical Records, preferably with NextGen
- More than 7 years of experience in Mirth integration engines and EMR integration
- Over 7 years of experience in Healthcare Interoperability and complex data transfer protocols
- More than 7 years of experience in Healthcare IT Operations
- Direct experience working within a State Government Agency
- Residency in South Carolina, North Carolina, or Georgia is required
Responsibilities
- Lead the implementation, testing, and deployment of healthcare applications such as EHR, PACS, Lab, and Pharmacy
- Manage the health IT infrastructure, including database oversight, application templates, and specialized reporting
- Provide expert troubleshooting and root-cause analysis for EMR-related issues, escalating as necessary
- Document and analyze clinical workflows for medical and mental health providers to enhance system efficiency
- Ensure effective data transfer and integration with both internal systems and external healthcare partners
Description
We are the South Carolina Department of Corrections (SCDC), seeking a highly skilled Healthcare IT Consultant to support essential healthcare technologies. We offer a long-term contract with a consistent 40-hour work week, focusing on delivering stability in a state-wide corrections healthcare environment.
