Senior Cloud Architect - Laboratory Systems

- I plan, design, and document highly available, scalable, and resilient cloud services and platforms, receiving guidance from senior team members. - I collaborate on cost optimization and correct sizing initiatives for cloud services and platforms. - I document governance standards concerning cloud infrastructure. - I engage in designing cloud infrastructure and platform operability to enhance reliability. - I build consensus by expressing design principles and advocating for DevOps practices and continuous integration. - I align solutions for security and access in conjunction with the Information Security team. - I promote observability by establishing standards for metrics and logs collection. - I collaborate with interdisciplinary architects and engineering leads during architectural design and review sessions, implementing effective, value-driven processes to provide innovative solutions that satisfy business requirements. - I assist project teams through thorough system analysis, requirements gathering, solution design, and project execution for cloud services and platforms. - I author and revise high-quality documentation of all pertinent specifications, systems, and procedures. - I research and select cloud services aimed at enhancing service delivery and expanding capabilities. - I lead engineering efforts to align technologies and capabilities in preparation for future demand and business opportunities. - I mentor engineering team members. - I perform other assigned duties. - I uphold company mission and values through accountability, innovation, integrity, quality, and teamwork. - I support and comply with the company’s Quality Management System policies and procedures. - I maintain regular and dependable attendance. - I possess the ability to work on a mobile device, tablet, or in front of a computer screen and/or perform typing for around 90% of a typical workday. - I have the ability and means to travel between Madison locations.
