Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree preferred but not mandatory
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
- Exceptional customer service abilities
- Basic familiarity with Windows and macOS operating systems
- Understanding of networking principles (IP, DNS, ports, etc.)
- Willingness to learn about enterprise systems and tools
- IT certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, ITIL Foundations) are advantageous
- Foundational IT skills including hardware, OS, applications, networking, and security
- Minimum of 2 years experience in supporting user IT devices
- Practical experience in a heterogeneous environment with remote management, file sharing, collaboration tools, email, and directory services
- Basic knowledge of IT procedures and security protocols
- Previous experience in an enterprise environment is preferred
- Familiarity with managing IT assets inventory
- Knowledge of server OS and networking device configuration, installation, and maintenance is a plus
- Experience in the installation and upkeep of Data Center hardware and infrastructure
- Understanding of fundamental Data Center operations including racking, cooling, cabling, and power management
Responsibilities
- Provide first and second line IT support for internal users and contractors
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot user laptops, workstations, printers, mobile devices, and other office IT equipment
- Configure, administer, and update Windows, macOS, and Linux operating systems on user devices
- Manage user devices using management tools
- Create and manage user accounts in Okta, Active Directory, Azure AD, Office 365, and other systems
- Perform physical network tasks such as patching, device installation, and port assignments
- Install and maintain server and network equipment, including cable patching in data centers and server rooms
- Maintain an inventory of IT purchases and assets, including updating records and auditing inventory
- Collaborate with facility and security teams to address security issues
- Continuously develop and enhance local IT infrastructure
- Execute other duties as assigned by the manager related to this position
- Substitute for colleagues or direct manager during absences, without it being considered as additional work
- Install and configure systems following solution designs and architectural guidelines, as well as system change requests
- Manage accounts as required
- Adhere to internal procedures for IT asset management
- Ensure service/system operations and maintenance meet availability and security requirements
- Provide accurate metrics and reports on service/system availability, capacity, and security
- Resolve issues in a timely manner and escalate to third-party suppliers as necessary
- Implement system updates and deployments according to internal protocols
- Fulfill user requests in accordance with established service level agreements (SLAs)
