Must:
- Experience and familiarity with the IBM i platform.
- Ability to gather and document requirements and propose enhancements.
- Capable of collaborating with subject matter experts to understand existing systems and processes and provide technical solutions.
- Skilled in designing programming modifications that consider databases, screens, and reports.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and general business tools.
- Quick learner of new programming skills without delaying project deadlines.
- Understanding of quality assurance, with an ability to create and execute formal test plans.
- Ability to work with other departments, remote users, and vendors for effective implementation.
- Able to present alternatives when faced with technical obstacles.
- Familiar with utilizing existing tools and resources while knowing when to suggest innovative solutions.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience developing and supporting programs in RPG IV/ILE, RPG Free, CL/CLLE, and SQL for DB2.
- Desired knowledge in IBM iSeries System Operations & Administration, PTF management, Extol EDI, Turnover, TL Ashford, Python, API Integrations, RDi/Visual Studio for IBM i, IBM ACS, Rocket iCluster, and modernization projects for the IBM i.
Responsibilities
- Continually work to expand and enhance the functionality and value of our IBM i power system platform for the business community.
- Create and update RPG programs, modify databases and associated queries, and develop reports as per business requirements.
- Design custom labeling solutions to meet customer and shipping specifications.
- Update existing terminal screens for the business community and perform additional related tasks.
