Requirements
Must:
- Strong proficiency with Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service
- Expertise in DAX, Power Query, and M language
- Strong SQL skills and a solid understanding of databases
- Experience with ETL processes and data integration
- Ability to analyze business requirements and convert them into technical solutions
- Knowledge of data modeling techniques, such as star schema and snowflake
- Preferred: Experience with Azure Data tools (Data Factory, Synapse, SQL Database)
- Preferred: Experience in developing enterprise BI solutions
- Preferred: Knowledge of Python or R for more advanced analytics
- Preferred: Microsoft Power BI certification (PL-300)
Responsibilities
- Create engaging dashboards, reports, and visualizations using Power BI
- Build strong data models utilizing DAX and Power Query (M language)
- Connect, clean, and transform data from various sources including SQL, Excel, and APIs
- Optimize data models for improved performance and user experience
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to grasp reporting needs and convert them into BI solutions
- Implement row-level security (RLS) and manage role-based access
- Maintain and enhance existing reports based on evolving requirements
- Develop scheduled automation for data refresh and ensure data integrity
- Generate documentation for datasets, dashboards, and overall architecture
- Adhere to best practices in visualization, storytelling, and UI/UX design
