Requirements
Must:
- Strong expertise in SQL, relational databases, and NoSQL systems
- Proficient in Python, Scala, or Java for data engineering tasks
- Familiar with big data technologies such as Spark, Hadoop, Kafka, and Flink
- Knowledgeable in ETL/ELT tools like Airflow, dbt, Glue, and Informatica
- Experienced with data warehousing solutions including Snowflake, BigQuery, and Redshift
- Understanding of data modeling, normalization principles, and data governance
- Skilled in using Git, CI/CD practices, and cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure)
- Experience with streaming technologies like Kafka, Kinesis, or Pub/Sub (preferred)
- Familiarity with machine learning pipelines such as MLflow and Feature Store (preferred)
- Background in analytics, BI tools, or dashboarding (preferred)
- Certification in AWS, Azure, or GCP data engineering (preferred)
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and optimize scalable data pipelines for both batch and streaming processes
- Build and oversee data lakes, data warehouses, and analytics platforms
- Create ETL/ELT workflows and automate data ingestion from diverse sources
- Utilize big data tools and distributed processing frameworks to manage data effectively
- Guarantee data quality, validation, governance, and tracking of data lineage
- Work closely with data scientists, analysts, and product teams to meet data needs
- Implement improvements for data storage, query performance, and processing efficiency
- Create APIs, dashboards, or user interfaces for efficient data access
- Administer cloud-based data infrastructure across platforms such as AWS, Azure, and GCP
- Document architecture, workflows, and data models meticulously
