Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 10-15 years of overall IT experience, including over 5 years in Azure architecture and cloud design.
- Demonstrated experience in designing and implementing solutions utilizing core Azure services, such as Azure Virtual Machines, VNet, Storage, App Services, Azure Functions.
- Expertise in Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Logic Apps, Event Hub, Service Bus, Azure SQL, Cosmos DB, Synapse Analytics, and Data Lake.
- Familiarity with Azure Active Directory, Key Vault, Monitor, and Security Center.
- Strong understanding of IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS models along with cloud-native application design.
- Extensive experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, ARM Templates, or Bicep.
- Proficient in DevOps practices and tools like Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins.
- Solid knowledge of cloud networking, identity management, and security frameworks.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, able to collaborate effectively with both business and technical teams.
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert certification is highly preferred.
- Experience with hybrid cloud and multi-cloud environments is beneficial.
- Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and serverless architectures.
- Exposure to data modernization, AI/ML services, or analytics platforms on Azure is an advantage.
- Prior experience in regulated industries such as healthcare, finance, or government is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design, architecture, and implementation of cloud solutions using Azure services.
- Develop comprehensive cloud strategies that encompass infrastructure, networking, security, data, and application components.
- Design and manage cloud migration strategies from on-premises or other platforms to Azure.
- Provide technical leadership across cloud engineering, DevOps, and development teams.
- Ensure that solutions comply with best practices concerning scalability, resilience, security, and cost efficiency.
- Collaborate with business and IT stakeholders to establish technical roadmaps and solution architectures.
- Create governance frameworks, security policies, and compliance controls for Azure environments.
- Design and execute disaster recovery, backup, and monitoring solutions.
- Stay up-to-date with Azure innovations and suggest improvements to existing architectures.
- Mentor and guide junior engineers and architects in cloud technologies and design principles.
