Requirements
Must:
- 8-10 years of practical experience in SQL Server development and administration
- Proficient in T-SQL including Stored Procedures, query optimization, and schema design
- Skilled in the implementation and management of SQL Server security protocols
- Solid understanding of Dimensional Modeling (fact and dimension table structures, star/snowflake schematics)
- Demonstrated ability to aggregate data from various source systems and deliver it to downstream systems through integrations or flat files
- Experience in supporting enterprise data warehouses or reporting environments
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and documentation skills
- Familiarity with Cognos or Power BI is advantageous
Responsibilities
- Build, configure, and maintain SQL Server databases, schemas, indexes, and data structures
- Develop and fine-tune Stored Procedures, T-SQL logic, and ETL components utilizing Visual Studio
- Oversee data ingestion from databases, APIs, and file-based sources like CSV, Excel, and JSON
- Deliver processed data to downstream systems through direct integrations or flat file exports
- Monitor and address ETL jobs, scheduled tasks, and automated workflows
- Investigate discrepancies, system problems, and integration failures to ensure data reliability
- Support operational and financial month-end data activities
- Maintain enterprise data flows, transformation logic, and data validation protocols
- Design and manage dimensional models, including fact and dimension tables
- Ensure modeling consistency for reporting and analytical applications
- Support Excel-based financial reporting and operational processes
- Manage SQL Server roles, users, permissions, and access controls
- Maintain logs, backup reports, and audit trails
- Conduct security and access compliance reviews
- Keep thorough documentation for data flows, ETL processes, integrations, and operational procedures
- Provide regular project updates, issue logs, and summaries to leadership
Description
We are looking for a SQL Server Administrator to join our team in NJ, working in a hybrid model with onsite attendance 4 days a week. This position is for a 12-month duration.
