Requirements
Must:
To thrive in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:
- 3-5+ years of experience working with F5 technologies, specifically with BIG-IP modules such as LTM, APM, and GTM/DNS.
- Proficiency in developing and troubleshooting iRules.
- Strong understanding of Layer 4-7 traffic management, HTTP protocols, and SSL/TLS encryption.
- Experience working with F5 WAF and security policies.
- Familiarity with network protocols including TCP/IP, DNS, and HTTP/HTTPS.
- Knowledge of automation tools like Ansible, Python, or REST APIs for F5 management.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment.
The experience level required aligns with the position you are applying for:
- Specialist/Analyst level: Requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and 2-5 years of relevant job experience.
- Senior Specialist/Analyst level: Requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and 5-8 years of relevant job experience.
- Lead Specialist/Analyst level: Requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and 8+ years of relevant job experience.
Responsibilities
In this position, you will be responsible for:
- Designing and deploying F5 BIG-IP solutions, including LTM (Local Traffic Manager), DNS, and APM (Access Policy Manager).
- Implementing Security Assertion Markup Language (SAML) and OpenID Connect (OIDC) authentication methods.
- Configuring and managing advanced F5 iRules and policies to support critical business applications.
- Enhancing application performance by utilizing load balancing, SSL offloading, and traffic routing techniques.
- Troubleshooting and resolving issues related to F5 devices to maintain high availability and performance.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams for seamless integration of F5 solutions into existing network infrastructure.
- Monitoring F5 devices and applications using analytical tools to identify and mitigate potential risks.
- Implementing F5 WAF (Web Application Firewall) configurations for protection against web threats.
- Automating routine F5 tasks through APIs, Ansible, or other automation frameworks.
- Maintaining and updating system documentation, policies, and procedures related to F5OS.
- Staying current with the latest F5 technologies and industry best practices.
