Requirements
Must:
1. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related technical disciplines, or equivalent certification with practical experience, along with 10+ years of related experience.
2. I possess in-depth working knowledge of LAN/WAN technology and can configure and resolve problems with network hardware and software.
3. I have a strong working knowledge of Datacenter technologies.
4. I am knowledgeable about Ethernet cabling, routers, switches, and firewalls.
5. I demonstrate effective written and verbal communication skills, along with interpersonal skills to work in a team environment, establishing and maintaining good working relationships with others.
6. I am dedicated to delivering quality customer service and exhibit superior telephone etiquette while effectively interacting with customers, vendors, peers, and management.
7. I exhibit a sense of urgency, individual responsibility, and a willingness to adapt to changing priorities.
8. I can carry computer equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
*Required experience varies by job level:*
- Specialist/Analyst level requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and 2-5 years of relevant job-related experience.
- Senior Specialist/Analyst level requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and 5-8 years of relevant job-related experience.
- Lead Specialist/Analyst level requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and 8+ years of relevant job-related experience.
*Preferred Qualifications:*
- CCNA or equivalent.
Responsibilities
In this position, I am responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting, and administration of our organization’s production network infrastructure. My key responsibilities include:
- Utilizing my knowledge of LAN/WAN technology to configure and resolve issues with network hardware and software.
- Providing first-level support for incidents requiring network involvement.
- Evaluating, designing, implementing, and supporting new network architecture and existing deployments.
- Participating in project delivery work, including device configuration, planning, and vendor coordination.
- Collaborating with users to understand their needs and working with OT personnel to develop effective system solutions.
- Developing and implementing network infrastructure changes through the established Change Management process.
- Serving as a technical resource for relevant network matters for organizational units.
- Providing timely and up-to-date project/network documentation, including drawings.
- Practicing network asset management, including device inventory, support agreements, and vendor contracts.
- Performing hardware and software upgrades for new and existing equipment as needed.

*Working Conditions:*
I can expect to work in normal office conditions, remaining in a stationary position 50% of the time due to prolonged periods of sitting or standing. Occasional overnight travel may be required, alongside visits to industrial/manufacturing settings, which may expose me to various materials, chemicals, extreme temperatures, and loud machinery. Necessary personal protective equipment will be provided.
